Want to learn more about an issue or become an advocate in everyday conversations?

NUHSA helps educate our community about human service challenges and issues to help build the community consensus necessary for effective solutions. We do this by providing resources and opportunities for community members to learn about issues like housing or homelessness in a factual and straightforward manner.

 

NUHSA also works with local, regional and state agencies to ensure that our area receives equitable funding for human services, and that policy and decision makers are aware of emerging community issues.

You can help support this advocacy by sharing our educational resources, contacting your local representatives to share your experience with your representatives, or by inviting NUSHA to come speak with your faith community, neighborhood, or service organization.

• NUHSA serves King County Legislative District 1, King County Legislative District 3, Washington State Congressional Districts 1 and 7, and Washington State Legislative Districts 1, 32, 46, and 45.

• How to reach them: The League of Women Voters publishes “They Represent You,” a directory of all local elected officials’ contact information, sorted by city.
